Loved this place. Great food for breakfast and other meals. Beverages are also good. The gallery next door is worth visiting as well.
The village bakery is always a good choice. The prices are a tad higher than you expect but you'll know where your extra buck or two went too when you try the Bakeries food. Fresh baked goods and a variety of goodies.
The walnut cinamon roll was fine. Coffee was hot. Only thing was, as first time guests we didnt know how the system works and instead of explaining it to us, the cashier gave us attitude and got a bit irritated. I understand other places do this too because they are so used to the system that they dont realize others dont understand, but we could have had a nicer experience if she took 5 more minutes to explain. This system being different size mugs (We have never seen this before) vs paper cups.
Great service with laid back ambience to back it up.Food is indeed pricey. But then, who is going to Haines Junction looking for cheap food?I was just happy they made such amazing bakery products right there despite all the logistical challenges one could imagine.A suggestion: it'd be great if you could periodically (by the minutes) dust the outdoor benches given how quickly they can accumulate crumbs.
Decent coffee. A bit pricey. I don't try the baked goods because of the cost but many other people seemed to enjoy them.
